Romy Gaillard

Romy Gaillard is a paediatrician and population epidemiologist. In her research, she focuses on child growth and development in the womb and just after birth. The first 1,000 days of life are instrumental in determining the likelihood of chronic diseases later on.

In Dutch

Gaillard conducts both observational research and intervention trials involving large populations. During her time with The Young Academy, she looks forward to making science more accessible to the public by using cross-disciplinary methods.
