Bas Borsje investigates how we can adapt our environment to the changing climate. His research at the interface of hydraulic engineering, physics, ecology and public administration integrates these different areas of expertise to explore how we can use nature to protect coastal areas against climate change.
In Dutch
During his time with The Young Academy, he hopes to make his research findings available and accessible to a wide audience. He also intends to ‘get his feet wet’ in the most literal sense with young people. Being outdoors together, he believes, allows people to interact and truly learn from one another.
