Nynke Dekker (1971) was trained as an atomic physicist, but has since 2002 focused on the interface of biophysics, nanotechnology, and biology.

Her research into single-molecule biophysics is of fundamental interest, but the understanding of biomolecular interactions is key to future medical applications.
